I thought it was a perfect solution for that style gaming but it just turns into a headache of tedium most of the problems had workarounds but they were annoying and took a lot of time and usually had to be done on a per game basis. I've connected mine via ethernet cable but I've had many of the issues you had (just no connection related ones).
